In what has become a bit of a trend in recent years, Sony uses their E3 conference to all but shut the door on their competition. I don't know if it has anything to do with them having a better time slot, so they have the opportunity to see what Microsoft will do first, but literally EVERYTHING about their show has been used to pretty much kick their already battered and bruised competitor in the teeth while they are down.

First off, Sony wasted NO TIME on developer diaries or pointless, awkward chit chat between hosts and industry heads. This show was purely about games, front to back, beginning to end. Yes, they did push the obligatory VR functions, to great avail though. But for the most part, this show had no fluff whatsoever.

The entire show can be watched above (start at 30:00 to skip the pre-show), but highlights include Resident Evil VII, Quantic Dream's Detroit, the return of Crash Bandicoot, Batman VR, the RELEASE DATE for The Last Guardian, and the reveal of Hideo Kojima's new project Death Stranding.

What did you think of Sony's show? What was your favorite part of the show? Feel free to sound off in the comments.
