Capcom threw a major curveball with this stage demo. But once it revealed itself, with this absolutely brilliant logo, the gaming world collectively got turned on its head. The direction they are taking this one in is a complete shift back to the series survival horror roots. And honestly this could stand as a complete move into new territory for the title. As it turns out, this game was actually teased at last year's show as the "Kitchen" demo for what was then codenamed Morpheus, which is now PlayStation VR. Meaning this has been the plan all along from Capcom and Sony.

My only fears are that this game may not have the substantial length of a typical Resident Evil title, or that with it being fully playable in VR, that it will be limited to basic item pickups and combat will be an almost non-factor. I am no doubt excited for this, but I would still love for it to remain Resident Evil.
