Precyce Politix: Shells & Lasers

Almost a year ago to the day, I wrote a blog where I wanted to let everyone know about Kryptonian Thought Patterns, the debut EP from Michael "Precyce Politix" Williams. This EP was the culmination and realization of all the hard work I have personally seen him put in over our 10+ year friendship. It seems as if I am partial and biased when I say that if you didn't listen to this, then you missed out....but let me say that if you haven't yet listened to it, then you most definitely should. As of this writing, the entire KTP EP is available on virtually every media delivery service. So if you have iTunes, Spotify, or Google Play, do yourself a favor and go cop this 11 track banger. Don't believe me? Then head on over to his soundcloud (look up precyce-politix) to check out two of his tracks, "Poetry" and "No Cape", for FREE. Go ahead. Do it.
So what's Precyce been up to for the last year? Well never one to rest on his laurels, he has continued his grind most steadily. Constantly writing, staying in the booth, honing his craft. Performing at every opportunity. Reaching out to his community, be it via the radio waves or the world wide web. It's safe to say that he hasn't slowed down in the least. He has put his name and KTP out there.
And now, here we are in 2016 and I am here to report that Precyce is back with a little something new for us all. Due out July 18th, 2016, his next project is entitled "Last Son of Brooklyn". But he will be releasing singles leading up to that release, and I have had the privilege to hear the first track off it.
"Shells and Lasers" is set to continue to prove to us all that true real to life Hip-Hop is most assuredly still alive and well. Starting with the production, this may age me pretty badly, but for those of us who remember a time when you could HEAR a beat and know who made it, be it DJ Premiere, RZA, Pete Rock, Just Blaze, so on and so forth....producer LexSoDope has found his own niche and developed a sound that is distinctly and remotely his own, and it is instantly recognizable. Pair that sound with Precyce's signature voice, syntax, and lyrical delivery, and I feel the foundation of a new classic is being built with just the first track.
I'm already bumping it, and hopefully you will too. Shells and Lasers, the first single off of Last Son of Brooklyn will be available January 29th on all music services.
